Is that average?
Mike
1 carnews site with 500-1000 unique visitors gives me 6-13 us dollar per day
so it depends on what site you are running... I do not make big money, but between 350 and 500 extra month is worth it especially because i do these sites for fun. I only joined adsense about 1 year ago.
Well, you are right if you are making a scientific survey, you would need to take all those variables into account. I am not trying to do a scientific survey. I am just trying to get a feel for the average site that is doing most things that most everyone else is doing and to see what the average is.
I know that some sites that go all out and do a lot of advertising and promotion are going to make much more money each day. Some other sites that are not listed in Google very high are going to be much lower earners each day. I was just looking for the average. I was going to throw out the low and the high earning sites and see what the average was.

You aren't going to get a "feel for the average site" from an unscientific survey, either.
Still, if you're really curious, and if you don't care about accuracy, why not go back and read the many previous "How much can I earn?" threads on this forum? That way, you won't have to even have to wait for replies.

I get about 2000 a day... to the site. I have stopped running Adwords so it is just natural search visitors.
Mike
my sites are effectivelyonly 3 mths old, an not indexed on all search engines, so my figure of $0.50/day from about 40 unique visitors is not really relevant to you,,,
Anyway, what I really want to know is, what you would attribute your 2000 visitors a day to,
People who found you via adwords and are still returning
people who find you via natural search,
other sources, links, directories ,
You want to findout what kinda earnings are available, me , i'm just trying to find out how to build relevant traffic
Do i need to spend a small fortune on Y an G?

I have a top ranking for some relevant search phrases due to SEO that I have done to the pages. When my pages fall from the top spot, I go to the top spot's web page and see what they have done to get to the top spot, I then do what they did. That usually puts me back into the top spot again when Google does an update of the search listings.

That seems like a good paying site. You should be proud of your work.

But who knows maybe it will be back in its old glory.
Have faith. My site that I have been talking about sustained some sort of a penalty TWICE - once in 2004 and once in 2005. It came back both times. I did nothing either time to bring it back. Each time it was out for 4-6 months.
I'm pretty sure that one time was a www non-www issue (which I never fixed) and I'm pretty sure the other was because of a semi-major redesign and navigation change I did.
I'm pretty gun-shy these days because of it though ... I mostly work on other sites to try to distribute my income more.
I am sure that there are sites that are big businesses that make much more than a hobby site can generate on it's best day, but I also think that it is just as valid to see how your hobby site is doing when compared to other hobby sites.
On most pages I have a 160x90 adlinks unit and one 250x300 regular adblock.
Oh yeah, this is a hobby site, or at least it was.
If you could increase your visitors per. day you could make some good money.
What type of topic is your site about?
