Early, but what happened to the eCPM?

Goodness, I just checked my stats, and this is terrible. Mondays are usually an extremely busy day on my site and the biggest money maker.

CTR down a little but eCPM is down about 60%.

Perhaps another weird day like last week, but my normal day starts out with a high eCPM that gradually goes down during the day. When I check my stats first thing and my eCPM is down so low, I'm not sure if it's just the system not caught up, or if all of a sudden I've been smartpriced.

Last week I had a weird day that started the same way and the eCPM rose during the day, so that is what I'm hoping for today.

Is it just me, or anyone else experiencing this same thing or on your normal day, does your eCPM rise or fall throughout the day?

The only pattern I've detected is that there is no pattern....

Same as always. I normally see that same pattern where the eCPM falls throughout the day, but today is no different from any other.

I'm having a better than average day... I did notice that Google seems to have re-indexed some of our sites - some have jumped up, others down a bit, so I don't know if that might have something to do with that - maybe they just did a large re-index, and you're getting a different quality of search engine referrals..

Ditto...we seem to be in a new AdSense regime of updation uncertainty throughtout the day. My figures jump all over the place and there's no pattern until the final figures are confirmed.

but then again, now that I think about it... when the moon is in the seventh house of mickey mouse and creates a solar eclipse in pokemon-land, that's when I see my CTR increase.
in other words... ditto.

After a slow july, today I have an eCPM almost 80% up from average of the rest of july.

So, yes, everyone has different results.

it's like if at Google they have fun with us, randomly turning knobs and seeing ur reactions here ..

Just to update this thread, my day had started out with a very low CTR and eCPM and earnings.

As the day wore on, my CTR and eCPM went up and I actually ended up with a very good day. Not a record breaker but one of the highest this month.

One just never knows when they ride this roller coaster as to whether you will start off at the bottom and end up on the high side of if you start it off at the very top and end up on the low side.
