Blame Google.

After the Landing page quality update, MFA's have aggressively entered my site --It seems the content network is not deemed important enough for G .

pacman2-

I can see how you'd be upset with making only $0.70 from 40 clicks, however, I'd be more curious why I was only getting 40 clicks out of 6000 impresions.

My numbers are typically not all that great but with 6K impressions... I'd be seeing around 200 clicks.

BTW, does your domain begin with "rs" if so maybe some simple adjustments would produce some different numbers.

I agree with Chapman. I would be more concerned about some 6000 impressions with only 40 clicks.

Even though I feel your pain, it's not just MFA's paying pennies for clicks.

it's possible that your ads aren't always being shown on your pages.

I run just a couple adsense ads on my entire site, but I noticed sometimes google isn't showing them. (I believe this is because of certain words on the page that google sometimes finds unsuitable). However, my point is that even when the page is shown to a visitor WITHOUT the adblock, google still counts that as an impression. This can account for a misleading CTR.

Chapman - my site begins on "rls"

this is only one of four ad blocks on the page, so it's actually getting more clicks at all. anyway, it is still a bit low, but this is probably caused it's very specific website with a tight user base which are there to read some news and not to click on ads...

Yes indeed... a typo on my part! DOH!

I see too many "red" links which are typically considered a negative color from an advertising perspective as it often is associated with the concept of "stop" whereas "green" might be considered as "go". These links may fit nicely into your design but they don't seem to attract buyers (I did the same thing a while back... changed from red and my CTR doubled). You have a lot of logical green links anyway so they'd fit right in!

You also have quite a few ad blocks on a single page (usually 4) while it has been shown that in most cases... the fewer the better. In addition, half of your ad blocks are below the "belt line" (forced scroll point) and with your long pages they probably won't ever be seen. This does nothing but dilute your clicks (CTR).

BTW, your content is quite interesting... your time has been well spent! With some simple tuning you should be able to make some good money off of this site.

I'd like to think I could "tune that content" to at least $25 a day... I've done it with mine, and my content is not as compelling!

Best regards Martin-
