Hi

When looking at the URL inspection page and after testing it to make sure no errors, in the past I could "request indexing" button, I know this isn't a shortcut to getting a page listed, but after clicking it would bring up a message saying its been put in a queue for listing, or something similar. Now after testing a page and clicking the same button nothing happens, it just clicks and then nothing .. anyone else noticing this ? Have Goolge changed anything?

Google asked folks (for a long time) not to use the URL Inspection Tool to submit updated versions and it seems they may have finally removed that feature from the tool as a lot of people were only using it for something it was not intended for.

See this old 2022 thread: [webmasterworld.com...]

There is also a URL Inspection Tool video from Google (8/23) here: [webmasterworld.com...]

it was working last week, so it could be the button no longer does anything.

I'm guessing we will see it removed soon, if that is the case you suggest. A bit boring after clicking and waiting for the next window to open
