Google has confirmed it's ok to use AI-generated content, but it's not ok to use it to manipulate its SERPs.
Appropriate use of AI or automation is not against our guidelines. This means that it is not used to generate content primarily to manipulate search rankings, which is against our spam policies.

With Google's resources, i'm certain it's very easy and quick for it to detect GPT-like content.
It could be the fastest way for a page or site to end up getting some kind of penalty.

I tried generating some AI content, it looked OK to me. Google didn't list it. I ran it through an AI checker and it came up machine made so I re-wrote the pages by hand. Google listed them within 24 hours.

Yep, they know.

Another reason to be doing YouTube, AI can’t create humans in videos YET (voice for sure)

Q: ChatGPT, Google is worried you can be used to manipulate SERPs. Can you?
A: As an AI language model developed by OpenAI, I do not have the capability to manipulate search engine results pages (SERPs). My purpose is to assist users in generating human-like text based on the input I receive, and I do not have any control over the algorithms or indexing used by Google.

It is against OpenAI's principles to engage in unethical behavior, such as manipulating search engine results, and the company has implemented strict safeguards to prevent such behavior.

Everything webmasters do is to improve their rankings, it's what Google trained us to do.

I'm liking ChatSonic more that chatGPT already. It's built from the chatGPT engine, but can access websites and isn't limited to training on old data.

It can create artwork too. Is it perfect? No more than chatGPT, but you have to work at it to get an unacceptable response, so don't do that.

I've tried ChatSonic extensively and I just get plain vanilla answers - nowhere near as useful as a specialist website in my humble opinion. And the artwork I generated was pretty scrappy at best with over 90% of it unusable; for instance, people with two fingers on each hand, faces like twisted gargoyles and the odd arm or two flying about. Like everything else I reckon it has it's uses but would I use it as a search engine? No way.

Still at least I can get on it which is more than I can say about ChatGPT (I'm in the UK so I can't get a paid account).

Writesonic? I tried generating copy and spent more time editing out wrong data than it would take me to hand write it instead. They say it's trained and powered by Google search; does that mean it uses Bard? If so, and that's the best that Google can do, I'm glad I'm not a shareholder.
