Excuse me if this has been asked already. Also how do you get in Google News?

Google News = Google News app and even Discover. You get into Google News via Publisher Center, but this won't get you into News tab.

News tab = Top stories, news, related articles, non-news items including shopping pages or posts from sites like Samsung, Cloudflare, etc when they're heavily linked.

News tab is algorithm based and they'll pick your articles automatically if you were approved for Google Publisher Center after December 2019. If you were approved before, you can appear in News tab most of the time.

Hundreds, or possibly thousands, of "news" sites have been created over the past few years whose only purpose is to spread lies and misinformation in support of a political agenda. Some of these sites are supported with large sums of money and big operations for self-promotion, trying to "game" google and other search engines, and exposure on sites like facebook and twitter.. Some are also part of a network of similar sites that can link to each other, promote each other, etc.

In my opinion google has done a pretty good job of protecting its users from this relentless bombardment of lies and misinformation. But in doing so, they may have had to make it harder for some legitimate news sites to get traffic from them.
