Hello! Im just starting my professional career on SEO, so there is still lots of things i need to learn... lately ive been working on the seo for a project. But when i tried to index all the urls, some of them didnt index, and what google said was "crawled but not indexed"

Ive been researching why does that happen, there isnt any no index tag, ive even forced google to index it. But still keeps saying that (it didnt happen to all urls, just a couple of them)
Ive read that when google crawls but not index, means that doesnt find your url interesting enough to index it. Or google may feel content is duplicated (which is not)

Ive seen as well people saying it was a glitch because it has happen to many people during a short period of time..

Any ideas? Thank you

Check your raw logs. That will reveal if g indexed.

Meanwhile, g's serps are something different. If the content is not new, exciting, or unique it might not show until page 100. Do a site: search and see.

Additionally, it may take g up to a week to process a url for a serp position. Give it some time. It won't happen instantly!

vicvil: Just because GSC says something, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. Try some exact-text searches for pages that were crawled a week ago. You’ll almost certainly find they have, in fact, been indexed.

Thanks, @lucy24! Yes. All too often we use the terms interchangeably and they are two distinctly different things. I will try to do better in the future!

Hello,

Google might simply consider these pages are not not worth being indexed. Google cannot index every single page on the Internet. At some point, there is necessarily a selection, of which ones go into the index, and which are not.

Be sure that these pages have enough (original/useful) content, and that they are not duplicated. Also, if these pages do not have enough inbound links ,it might be a negative signal, and this can cause Google to ignore them (for the moment). This is random thoughts.
