Saw Google News Verification Badge in results today

today i saw a green verification badge on one of the News websites online.

Any1 knows about this?

I think this is part of Google's push against misinformation/fake news which is ramping up for the big US elections next year. I'm expecting more changes like this & tightening up the EAT mindset at Google.
