Hi I have indexed my site and I have option to submit sitemap or/and images into sitemap.xml

My question is, should I submit a different image sitemap or include image info in the sitemap.xml file? Kindly assist. Thanks!

Depends. Are your images the "content" users are looking for, or merely illustrations for the content on your site?

Most times, a sitemap geared to the content gives better results. In fact, not all pages actually quality for a sitemap, so just one more thing to consider.

Just another question -- can I set up one xml sitemap for html urls and one xml sitemap for images on my site?

Is the above possible? thx!

Yes. You can have up to 1,000 sitemaps listed from a sitemap index. question is, do you actually need this?

google will eventually discover everything unless you block them...sitemaps help in making it easier for them to quickly discover your stuff and index them...so it is essentially for initial indexing...but once in their index, they don't necessarily crawl those urls via sitemaps....as for images, they are, not really needed in sitemaps...but no harm in providing them as they say...however don't give too much importance if you have better things to do....
