Hi everyone -
I was just wondering today - if a site has a section of pages that are designated noindex/noarchive, should those pages be included in an xml sitemap submission? Even though there is content on those pages, like directory listings, I don't really want them showing up in site:mysite.com - so should they be omitted from an xml sitemap?

Just curious. Thanks for any feedback!

Since the purpose of a Sitemap is to list all the URLs that you do want to see indexed, I cant see any reason to include noindex URLs of any kind.

Include only URLs to be indexed.

Exclude redirects and noindex pages.
