Hello,

I have a wired problem.

20 days back, when I check my website, I found a wired problem that the website home page cache shows to someother website. Even now when you query a domain related phrase, the same thing is viewed.

Later we found that someone has requested for COA via Google webmaster console and we have revoked the request. Believing the account has been hacked, we have changed the password and took control of the account. After revoking the COA request, we have increased the crawl rate in the GWT console as well. Unfortunately the problem hasn't resolved yet and due to this, we are loosing many of our visitors and the business is affected badly.

Looking for an advice to tackle this at the earliest and bring the orginial website in Google cache.

Appreciate any help guys!

Hi alanedward16,

Without knowing the site, I can only give you generic advice.

This kind of issue usually sorts itself out as Googlebot recrawls the site and our systems update. You might be able to speed this up by using the new submit URL function in Webmaster Tools and request the page to be indexed. Here is our Help Center article describing the process:

Thanks for the response. Appreciate a lot.

We have already increased the crawl rate setting in Google webmaster console and resubmitted site map. Will again submit the URL as you have mentioned.

I'm assuming that by "COA", you mean change of address. What's the timeline been for what set of events?

I don't think that will somehow fix a 20-day old caching problem, assuming they they failed to gain access.

To get a quick crawl, use the 'fetch as googlebot' feature in WMT console. If a fresh crawl doesn't help (and I'm not sure why it would) I would then look for some kind of hosting or site configuration/security problem/hijacking issue.

@tedster there isn't any technical problem in the website. Actually, Change of Address withdrawal request effected in the search result now only.
