I'm not sure if this has already been posted but I'm trying to do some cache searches on google and instead of returning the result of the cached page I'm getting redirected to a serp, or a page that says the cache did not return any documents.
I've done this exact search for the exact page dozens of times over the past few weeks so I know the cached page exists. I've tried quite a few URLs now and the only caches i seem to be able to return are home page and top level pages, no deep pages.
Is anyone else seeing this?
I understand the lack of cached pages - ie did not return any documents, but i've never seen it redirect to a search page.
fyi the query i'm using is:
http:/
/www.google.ca/search?q=cache:www.somedomain.com/somecategory/somepage.htm
or
http:/
/www.google.com/search?q=cache:www.somedomain.com/somecategory/somepage.htm
the top level (IE domain name) and top category works ok but nothing lower than that.
