I've been surprised (in the travel niche) by how many sites are getting good/improved results post-panda by simply having large numbers of pages of mashed date - weather, driving distances, maps etc for each location, along with adsense and affiliate links - with little or no UGC on the pages.

They do all seem to have lots of data on each page, though - I've not seen any with very low amounts of content that are rating highly, to the point that I suspect that the actual amount of content on a page, regardless of its source, is now a much more relevant ranking factor than it used to be.

I'm guessing these sites will largely get devalued in due course - but of course that's just a guess...
