Is Google.com Pushing Out Non-US Sites?

Like many I am seeing some rather bizarre result from Google however today my image directory site for the first time ever has been pushed onto the second page of results of 10.

Every result in the top 10 is a US site with only one MFA and one youtube, heavens knows what that has to do with the term.

On the second page of 10, all are US sites except for me. Is this Google's new world order for Google.com?

We now have reports both ways, for example:

Whitey; Of 10 organic positions in a variety of search's i see approx 90% as regional tld sites , much more than before.

I am definitely seeing huge variations in results between .com and other other regional TLDs for the past two months (i.e. since panda was rolled out internationally). I am not sue whether it is the new order or this is because of the UE tests by google.

A friend of mine owns some very good .cctld names and they are ranking on page one for 'word cctld' (cctld in this case is a US state abbreviation). Which makes sense since the site, while simple, is for that US state. I have a feeling that Google will treat .cctld pretty much as global depending on the link origin and content. Too many extensions are beign used for US sites (.ly, .me, .la, .co etc etc)
