Are you saying that a new version of SERPS is on AOL, or is Panda finally on AOL.com? Didn't Panda move to AOL too after Google.com or what?

I agree we may see a major update soon, crawling and site:example.com are way off, and so are the type of referrals.

I take that to mean Google live tested Panda algorithm on AOL before it was rolled out fully on google.com.

Thanks for sharing that observation. I have no doubt that Panda results were live-tested somewhere before the full roll-out, but I was assuming they took a small slice of the google.com audience.

I just caught that Ted :) I was typing too quickly and didn't initially realize the other thread was from the same member. I modified my comment to remove the reference since it wasn't a confirmation.

Also, I just ran some tests and I see the same index on Google and AOL, with browser history flushed, and from several browsers.

You may be right. Here in France, panda hasn't rolled out yet (at least not for french queries).

I just tried some queries on aol.fr's search, and on google.fr (with &pws=0, not logged in, and clean cookies). And interestingly, on aol, some results that outrank my website on google.fr, are gone.

And the results that are gone are... twenga.fr, shopzilla.fr, and other price comparison websites, exactly the sort of websites that are often hit by panda.

So, maybe they are also testing Panda "international" on aol international search ?

shopping.aol.com is ranking very high on G powered aol.com search, but not on Google.com. I say it's done on purpose

honestly, I don't see any differences between the index on AOL or Google, but it could just be what I am being served. I did see something interesting though...I searched one of my 2-word queries (for which I have been consistently ranking around page 9 for several weeks). I went to page 9, and it was listed as expected. I went up a few more pages just to see if another page of mine had reappeared in its old spot. As I searched backwards, past page 9, my page that was listed there was gone. I searched down to page 1 and back up to beyond page 50 and didn't see it so I gave up. There could be a ranking shuffle going on. I do see a 5% increase in traffic today over the previous 4 Thursdays.

Same here. I'm appearing on the first page and disappearing deep in SERPs for some keywords a couple of times per hour. It's actually an improvement, since my rankings these keywords were wiped out from the first page after Panda release.

I've also recovered some sitelinks on a few of my listings and even a number 1 spot. These are mostly longtails and/or singular forms. I still see enormous differences in between singular/plural rankings.
