Having a lot of links from a facebook page probably won't cause a penalty. I haven't checked this lately, but I thought that the facebook scripts automatically put a nofollow tag on all outgoing links anyway.

You didn't say whether you're sending all the links to the same page on your site or to different pages. Sending them to different pages would probably be better.

But taking everything into consideration, any new links you add in the future will probably have little if any effect on your site's rankings. Most likely the only benefit from them would be traffic.

...my stats show otherwise, everytime i post on my facebook page a link from an old article of my site (5 or 6 years) that article rises a few spots, everytime...

Well, *if* Google is doing what it says and 'removing nofollowed links from the link graph' then thats what should happen.
I suppose it doesn't mean its true.
I don't have any cases of nofollowed links providing a ranking advantage; YMMV.

But - have you tracked links to see if you aren't getting reprinting or somesuch happening thats causing the rank bounce?
Or could it be straight user tracking, such that Google can see you are getting traffic so gives you more? That would lead to very short lived rank improvements :(

Google has said that for some searches they do use social media signals - but they haven't said that it's backlinks. Google looks at over 200 signals, so just seeing Facebook activity could also be important.
