Trying to return to google.co.uk via that preference page you linked to didn't work from the US... and google.co.uk from here still gives the plain vanilla display.

Not worth going through a proxy this time of night to see if I can get it to work. I'm thinking I'll probably be wanting to turn it off rather than turn it on, but one never knows.

I would guess this will be live for all very soon. There is a very prominent link to disable it you'll be pleased to know!

I'm in the UK and have tried 5 different browsers, not Chrome, and don't see anything different other than some have the greyed Google turning into colour.

Another niggle - if i hit the enter key at the end of a query i used to be able to use page down to scroll down the results. Alas no more as the focus seems to be 'stuck' in the search box.

Wales is receiving this new google tat - it does seem pretty beta too, it's hideous, I really am glad that I stick to the FF homepage for google.

I saw the streaming results last night from my home computer; however, this morning at the office there is no sign.

Based on what I saw, the new feature could help the sites ranking in top 10 for the main category keyword, because as you type the first word in a search phrase (e.g. widget--the first word in the search phrase 'widget blue') the streaming results are automatically for 'widget blue'. So some may just find that search good enough for what they are looking for and stop typing.

Based on that this might be somewhat harmful for long-tail keyword rankings.

P.S. I'm in Los Angeles

its also going to be interesting for adwords advertisers - what will now count as an impression? Click through rate is a huge influence on how well your ads rank. I'm sure the same may apply to organic results, but my heads hurting too much to put it into words :)
