I have a couple of sites that are in the same niche but with different advertisers and listings on each. I set this up about a week ago to try and stimulate some visitor movement between the sites and so far it's working quite nicely. Easy to set up...took me about 10 minutes.

Wow, sweet. I can't wait to try it out this weekend. I imagine they will probably be popping up on sites all over soon.

We own a dozen websites and launched it a few months ago. It has been wonderful for us. For instance, if we have dozens of articles on "weight loss" on our websites, people can now easily find them. Visitors stay on our websites longer and we love it. It has also made us a lot of money through the ads that Google displays. Thank you Google for such a great feature.

I set this up on my site. Works well for not competative Adwords. As soo as you add a comepative Adwords your competition is on top of your SERPS!

Is there a way to stop Adwords apearing for this tool?

I'm still in the very early stages of perfecting one site (deciding if I should invest the time actually), this seems to be tailored at webmasters owning multiple sites. Have we already reached the level of needing multiple successful sites or a network in order to have a viable source of income?

It used to be that one site, receiving all your attention, was enough if it was top three in its niche.

I'm not too impressed with it so far.

Does this have an API with it, or are you stuck with google's UI?

I like G-CSE - great little tool.

This update is interesting in terms of niche search and cross reference. I'd like to see how the change affects those already using their CSE service - as it is CSE does a good job of indexing pages, I wonder how this improvement will change that?

No API - but fairly customisable.

I don't get it. I can already do this but I have control about which sites are included. Why would I want Google to decide?

The point is less work for a user = more CSE’s = more everything, from branding to subscribers. They just made clear it’s not only free stuff that counts but easy to use stuff that counts 1,000 times more.
