Frequent Change in Google Search Results - almost hour by hour

Has anyone else noticed that Google seems to be changing the search results for certain keywords almost by the hour?
I checked a keyword for our site this AM, our site was #1, then I just checked same keyword we're # 6. Sometimes we're # 12. It seems the results are frequently changing. We haven't made any changes to our homepage. This "frequency" seems to have been happening over the last couple of months. I know results change, but I've never seen anything quite like this. Anyone else noticed this?

I have one very high ranking site that suddenly loses ranking every time Google slides toward another major update. When the update finally happens, it comes back in all its glory. I haven't any idea why this happens only to this site, I have many others that also rank high for their targeted keyword phrases, but none are affected like this one site, which has been missing for about a week now. Changes are about to happen.

This also happens when you get results from a different datacentre each time. Google has slightly different data in different datacentres.

Check the IP address of where your results are coming from each time. The ShowIP extension for Mozilla browsers is very useful in that regard.
