According to [bloomberg.com ] the huge quantities of power need by present and planned AI data centres exceeds the supply of renewable energy in many parts of the world. As a result Google no longer claims to be carbon neutral; their CO2 emissions are estimated to be 48% higher than five years ago despite their claimed 'green' activities.
