Google will ban all advertisements relating to Republic of Ireland's forthcoming referendum on abortion, which takes place on 25 May.
On Tuesday, Facebook started to block ads relating to the referendum that did not originate from advertisers inside Ireland.

Quite a lot of political ads are now coming under scrutiny in an effort to curb fake news in advance of several upcoming elections.

I block political and religious ads at my sites. Some are interesting, but most are biased and too radical. I am not here to influence my visitors about this kind of choices.

(unrelated I also blocks dating ads, ... some are okay to me, but too many are vulgar and sexist)
