Google Wallet is to roll out a feature that allows a users to send money to anyone on their contact list via a text message. Obviously, the text message doesn't contain the money, but a secure link does.
Why do I think this might be ripe for scammers sending nasty links.

No email? No problem! Now you can send money to anyone in your contact list using just a phone number. When you send money to a phone number, the recipient will get a text message with a secure link. They can simply enter their debit card to claim the money and it will be available in their bank account within minutes. I would assume that any message suggesting that was a phishing scam.

I have just had a story of a scam related to me, and it's not far off this. I'm sure there are protections in place for official services from google, but, what about the scams that are not google behind it. Phishing has become so widespread ought to be a real concern for everyone.

So if I add that Nigerian prince to my contact list, I don't have to worry about being scammed, right? :)
