Google's T&Cs ban advertising endangered species products

Google has been accused of inadvertently promoting the slaughter of endangered whale and elephant species after environmentalists found tens of thousands of ads for ivory and other products on its Japanese shopping site.

Yep I did a search using Google Japan and adword ads continue to show for Ivory. Looks like they like to say I stamped my name with a dead endangered animal horn. Some type of seal stamp is what the ivory shown is being made into.

Google follows national laws-- including some-but-not-all EU regulations-- because those are enforced. International laws do not apply in the US,* so they can safely be ignored.

The signature seal? Do they still use those? (They did as of a few decades ago, but I'm not fully up to date.) Nice touch, if so: not an optional product but something that you must have in order to live in the country.
