There is lots of talk about the Google Chrome Operating System going round at the moment. As yet, we don't have any confirmation from Google, so it's pure speculation that a system is due for launch in the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunately it took months for Google to fix a simple problem like "print selection" in the Chrome browser.

If they do come out with an actual operating system for PC's & laptops it would have to be capable of doing the normal things that our Windows #*$! can do now.

I wouldn't want to have to wait months or years just so my software becomes compatible with a new operating system.

They would have to commit to a team large enough to do the job properly from day 1.

I hope they do. I'm on their side.

I actually think a Google OS could really be a big thing in the future.

Not because its Google, but I think they are capable of creating a decent OS. They did a good job on Android. The biggest issue with most OS's today is that its far far too bloaty.

Too much bad code exist today, why do we still sit waiting at a PC which is apparently doing over 1 billion instructions per second?
