FTC Clears The Way For Google DoubleClick Acquisition

Today, the FTC has cleared the way for Google's planned acquisition of DoubleClick Inc.

"after carefully reviewing the evidence, we have concluded that Google’s proposed acquisition of DoubleClick is unlikely to substantially lessen competition."

The FTC's conclusions look reasonable in light of the just-announced Microsoft-Viacom ad deal, which is taking business away from Google/DoubleClick:
