today we became a licensee of the Open Invention Network (OIN), an innovative patent-sharing organization founded to create a legally protected environment for anyone who works with Linux....

...We believe Linux innovation moves fastest when developers can share their knowledge with full peace of mind. We’re proud to participate in an organization that’s making that possible, and we look forward to seeing OIN grow and thrive.

It was about time for Eric Schmidt [Squirrel Boy] to react to remarks previously made by Daniel Lyons [Fake Steve Jobs] in his popular Internet publication.

David Lyons is a senior Forbes magazine editor [seattlepi.nwsource.com...]

Interesting timing for Google's move.

Google joins the Open Invention Network about the same time the real Fake Steve Jobs' identity is made public on the Internet.

Will now Google make "freetards" happy with some of its real good code?

Or will GPL 3 hit Google where it hurts the most?

Time will tell...
