... as in being a member at Webmasterworld! Believe it or not, that is a bit of a thrill for me. All the fun, knowledge, and good people... what's not to adore?
Meanwhile, earlier this month, the doctor gave me the long face. Stage Four, liver, lungs, lymph and spleen with a tumor in the lining of the brain as the cherry on top. After 18 years of remission I also consider that a win!
ON THE OTHER HAND, I intend to see 80, even though the doc indicates I might not see 78 this coming August. Will wait and see. In the meantime will chug along and comment from time to time as it suits (and is appropriate).
Only reason I mention this is that some members at Webmasterworld have passed and we never knew! I will have to deal with the icky side on my own (and that's okay!) but I have no intention of quitting without a fight!
THIS IS NOT AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SYMPATHY! I've had the good and the bad, survived this and that, made fortunes and lost them. The world goes round and I am along for the ride! But I do confess a bit of vanity: I've always enjoyed the company of others, and THIS company, through keyboard and screen, has been among the best I have ever associated with.
I did not want to leave* without saying goodbye!
* EVENTUALLY!
