Brace For (ad revenue) Impact!
Household debt in the United States has hit the highest level since the 2008 financial crisis. Something is going to give, and it is likely to include ad revenue as companies are forced to cut back on spending.
The average household owed a total of $142,680 at the end of 2022, only $11,710 below WalletHub’s projected breaking point for household finances.
This is not a problem to be solved slowly, it can't continue for even a few years, and this time it is likely to be worse than in 2008 because all the other metrics are much worse now (inflation, job numbers etc.). It's like watching a long slow moving train derail one car at a time.

Of course, many will point out that the last paragraph of the article...
