How crazy is this?

We all know to be careful what you write online, especially in reviews, but this is, well, interfering. Why not invite the blogger back and give them a meal of a lifetime to prove the restaurant is good! That way the positive publicity would have carried much further.

A French judge has ruled against a blogger because her scathing restaurant review was too prominent in Google search results.

The judge ordered that the post's title be amended and told the blogger Caroline Doudet to pay damages.

Ms Doudet said the decision made it a crime to be highly ranked on search engines.

Crime hell, it's censorship.

I guess the French motto "liberte egalite fraternite" isn't worth the baking sheet it's written on.

All it would take is a couple of good SEO's with a point to prove to completely wipe out rankings for that restaurant, the french judge, and just about anything else they so desired.
