The problem means that I cant install any software on my machine, does anyone know where I can get a program that will resolve the problem ?

Ive found a solution on Microsoft but I have no idea which version I should download...

Go to eventid.net and fill in the webform.

It will then output a thread listing of fixes discussed by others with links to resources.

yea you could go into event viewer and get the entire error message and post it.
