Ive never known this to be an issue and never found anything in the Library.
I started up firefox as normal and it told me I had just installed Google toolbar, however I have had it installed for months. I then find out all bookmarks are gone and just looks like I have just installed firefox!
Has this happend to anyone? I ran a few searches on my computer for Bookmarks etc and came up with nothing I also looked for the folder named "Application Data" as I heard that I might be able to get a backup however I couldn't find anything.
I took a backup of my bookmarks about four months ago on a disc "somewhere" however this is really no use and I have never known firefox to do this?! Is it an issue? A bug? Will it be fixed?
arg. very annoyed. shouting abuse at my screen annoyed.
Yours will be located under something like...
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Firefox 1.5\bookmarks.bak
Change the administrator username to whatever windows username you are using. Secondly change the profile name (my profile's folder name is "Firefox 1.5" in example).
Hope this helps.

You may have "Do not show hidden files and folders" selected.?
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name
On the top menu.
Go to Tools.
Folder Options.
Click on the View Tab.
Select Show hidden files and folders.
You should now see the Application Data folder.
No idea why it wasn't switched on I use hidden files all the time. Anyway, after clicking through to my user name I find the FireFox folder > Profiles > and instead of having firefox 1.5 or something mine reads: "ir65z2xq.default", Clicking onto Bookmarks.bak and also bookmarks.html has nothing in them (empty bookmark files).
Very strange that everything is normal appart from the bookmarks, history, passwords and everything else is the same as normal.
So still, nothing.
