Major companies remove Facebook login option over privacy concerns

Amazon's streaming service Twitch, Dell, Best Buy, Ford Motors, Pottery Barn, Nike, Patagonia, and Match are among the large companies that no longer allow users to sign in with Facebook, all citing privacy concerns. It seems visitors stopped using the Facebook login and companies noticed.

Jen Felch, Dell’s chief digital and chief information officer, says
people stopped using social logins for reasons that include concerns over security, privacy and data-sharing.

Once I read FB's TOS regarding their login, I never let my customers use Facebook login from day one for this very reason. When you get down to the "fine print," it is incredible the information you allow them to gather and share. Same with apps.
