Wikipedia-like Facebook Pages?

Abbreviated copies of Wikipedia articles as Facebook pages

I was looking up some information about a small town in northern New York - Brasher. In my Google SERPS is a Facebook Page for the town. What's kind of strange is that the Page does not look like it was created by the town as an official home page or portal for the local government. Instead, it's just an abbreviated copy of the same Wikipedia article on the town.

Also, inside the FB Page, are links to other FB Pages that are also abbreviated copies of the Wikipedia articles on those topics.

Facebook remains a mystery to me as a marketer. Anyone know of any good guides about Facebook SEO?
