Hi everyone,

I am in the process of starting a small e-commerce business and am looking for suggestions on choosing the right web design company. There are so many options out there, and this one is a bit overwhelming. What are the key factors I should consider when choosing a web design company? Also, if you have any personal experiences or suggestions....

I'd love to hear them!

If this is to be a small e-commerce site and you don't have a merchant account, I'd recommend to start of with a simple setup, using paypal, venmo, stripe or other such payment methods. Yes, they take a commission, but until you have built your ideas into a business, those online payments cost far less than personally accepting credit cards. The qualifications, overhead and personal responsibility are much higher for accepting credit cards.

If you are unable to build your own site, that will add to your startup cost and become an additional monthly expense as things need to be added, removed or updated anywhere on your site.
