I am back from hibernation and have a question for fellow members.
I manage a website/domain named <snip> which is like 13 years old and has pr8 and very high web authority plus some reasonable traffic, need to know how it can be used to get some money as right now its just taking up 200 dollars every month for the hosting server.
There is a blog that runs over it as well, so either we sell some advertising space or sell the site , its content and everything as it is? Not sure, please help and suggest!

How much time do you spend managing the site? If it is taking a lot of your time to manage then selling might be the best course of action - especially if you have more lucrative projects.
How much traffic? - if it is 100,000+ visitors per month a small advert with adsense or other provider would easily cover your hosting costs and make you a bit of pocket money.
traffic is not that much, not sure what to do about good ranking and how to convert good website reputation and PR into maybe some SEO targeted revenue model rather then adsense...
pr8? Where are you getting that info?

On Oct 7, 2014 John Mueller, Senior Webmaster Trends Analyst at Google, announced PR would no longer be updated.
MOZ Domain Authority metric is a fraction of 100. Example: 60/100.
So I don't know what your number is, but as IanTurner said, making money is about traffic.
You'll either need to find a way of generating significant traffic or sell a product with a sufficient demand.

@amadeus - I wouldn't pay much attention to those reports. Those numbers are irrelevant to your site performance. The real measure is daily page loads from humans.
Filter out the bots and get your metrics from how many people interact with your pages. That's the only thing that counts.
