<Moderator Note: Unless I'm mistaken this post is intended as a response to this thread [webmasterworld.com].

Category scope is reviewed from time to time, and sites not fitting the new category scope may be moved elsewhere. There is a continuous and continuing process of category re-organisation. However, when a site is moved, there can be a gap between de-listing and re-listing elsewhere.

Sites are randomly re-reviewed for their eligibility for listing. Those not eligible for the category where they are currently listed are moved elsewhere (with the same delay in de-listing and re-listing if the editor does not have permissions to edit in both categories). In some cases the site may be no longer listable anywhere in the directory, and the site will be de-listed.

The hint was to maybe tack it on the end of that closed thread :)

Ya, "wouldn't it be luv-er-ly", 'cept 1) "closed means closed", that is unless I wake the Thread Time Lords for such a task, and the rules are to only wake the Thread Time Lords to either save the world from meteor strikes or for free Rolling Stones' tickets; and, 2) "For God's sake get me to the church on time!" [google.com] (Where were you when we needed you? :P)
