Have You Used a Directory for Search in 2007? For What Type of Search?
Is a directory ever better than a search engine for searching or finding?

I will use a directory when I have an interest in a marketplace vertical, such as professional service providers.

Yes.
I use them to find accommodation in locations.
The natural SERPS for [place hotels] searches are so polluted as to be useless.

i use them all the time to research websites in particular niches,
SERPS are always filled with unrelated sites, and really useless, light weight content for the sake of content, sites
