The requested URL /cgi-bin/add.cgi was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
The submit url button on the homepage works, but that takes you to an information page not a suggest url form.
Just FYI: In the meantime, the public pages have been restored from a backup, so that people can at least browse the categories. The editor server is still not repaired. So editing, suggesting sites, and other interactive features are still not working.

I, for one, have been using my editing time to find a whole bunch of nice new sites to add to the directory as soon as the editing functions come back online. How did I find them without the site submissions? Via links from other quality websites, mostly, sometimes through search engines. That's where I find most sites I end up adding anyway. So even when the site submission function is working again--don't rely on it too heavily. Old-fashioned site visibility is as likely or more likely to get you a link from our site as a submission or three is. :-)

(Make no mistake - I have a great deal of respect for the dmoz staff... I think presently one part-timer backed up by some independent contractors... who are trying to reassemble Humpty-Dumpty.)
The way you've been doing it is usually better (more convenient for us, therefore more helpful). But rather than stop your (EXTREMELY valuable) contribution, you are cordially invited to post in that forum. We'll catch up when the new hamsters arrive.
