Directory pages not being searched

Why aren't directory pages being searched?

Hello, does anyone know why my directory pages aren't being searched by the search engines I am in? Anyone else have this problem? I have a google sitemap and they are all listed, there are no "no follow tags" on their pages and they are not in the robots text file. Yet none of the search
engines I am in including google and yahoo will not search them.

Any insight or ideas on this would be helpful. Thanks!

Not enough information. Are the internal links made with JavaScript? What is the "they" that is not in the robots.txt file? How old is the site? How many quality sites link to it?

It might be incorrect, but search engines do not love "link pages", i am guessing that your directory is a collection of static html pages with categorised links,
