How do you get listed...remix

With information on how to get into About.com. Any ideas if you can still get in by finding a category and sending an e-mail to the editor? Seems there are not a lot of external links there that are not paid.

Honestly? Becoming an editor is about the only way any more. THings are real tight at About these days. It is rare to get a site listed or mentioned any way.

You really just need to ask the editor, but you really need to have good content and probably not running ads on the site.

We were lucky a few years ago and the editor actually linked to an article that we had in reference to what he was talking about then gave us a link further in the page as well once I wrote and thanked him.
