Complete newbie trying to install wordpress (for the first time) for several domains.
Do I need just one database for several domains or does each domain need it's own database?
What information does the database normally contain?

Whilst experimenting, I managed to delete the database for my Joomla website! Fortunately I did back up first but cannot see how to restore it in Cpanel. I have unzipped the backup and can see the databases inside mysql and mysql-timestamps folders. Tried to import them back in from phpmyadmin but it did not work. Any idea how to get my website working again?

Tried "restore sql database" in Cpanel backup/restore. Databases seem to be back but website still doesn't work.
Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL
