This is a general broad question for anyone that would like to answer.
Our company has a custom Management Information System that was outsourced to an external vendor before I came on board here, otherwise it would have been done in house, I was speaking with the administrator today and they stated the MIS only works correctly in IE8. She stated this was common place, however I can not even fathom this being the case. Being a webmaster, I am sure most people will attest to having the exact opposite experience.
General information:
The MIS is built with aspx and SQL Server.
Here are my questions:
1. Why would an online MIS only work in IE8?
2. This seems like something that should be included in regular maintenance, your opinion?
3. Am I missing something here?
4. Has anyone else came across this issue?
