Mysql Error: Error writing file '/tmp/MYgulsvd' (Errcode: 122)

I am getting this strange error
Error writing file '/tmp/MYgulsvd' (Errcode: 122)
I dont know what is this? and also sometimes when i try to access my page i get "Lost mysql connection".. but only sometime.. not often.
What can be the cause?

The "Errcode 122" indicates MySQL ran out of disk space before it could complete some operation, possibly a large sort operation which was using a temporary file.
