How / where do you find writers for your content?

Hello,

I would like to learn how you find writers for the creation of your website content (if you don’t write everything yourself)?

Do you use the usual freelance writer marketplaces and what are your experiences with them?

On such platforms, while submitting a bid, one can choose which price per word is set - with an accordingly adjusted level of delivered text quality. But is it even worth one’s while to offer the lowest choosable word price, or is that pointless, because the texts produced are of (too) low quality, in that case?

Or which other ways to you use to find your freelance writers?

I am thankful for any tips and recommendations of also lesser-known ways and platforms where I could find (good) freelance writers!

There are a lot of content writers promoting themselves on LinkedIn, although I haven't used one of them yet, I know where to find them should I need them. The company that manages our website have a writer. I have used them but it is tricky because our subject is quite technical.

Does your site have interaction with the visitors? Amazing how often one can find great writers among that crowd! (Submit a story to story@example.com)

Secondary, on your FRONT page and wherever else you want to put it: "Do you have an article to submit? We pay top rates!" Seems to work for major MSM newspapers, etc.

Can't vouch for the quality, but they never seem to lack for "content"...

Out there, a lot of freelance writer that you can choose. And if you want to hire, first to consider its about :
- hourly rate of fixed rate
- price for specific number of word
- how their review from user, positive or negative
- have a skill to write all categories?

If you are looking for a content writer then, Google can be your best helping hand. You can search on Google for “best content writing company”, you will get a long list. However, make sure that you look into their work profile before hiring them. You can check the reviews, testimonials and website properly. Check out what they are promising to give you and match those with your requirements.

Content writer here. I actually get a lot of clients through my existing work. I have an author box under most articles that I contribute to websites and it contains a link to my homepage. Most of my clients read a post somewhere that they like and then get in touch and ask if I could do the same for them.
So, you could do the same and find writers in your niche whose content you like and contact them. Even if they don't have capacity, they can usually direct you to other writers in the industry that they respect.

I've had good luck through fiver and other freelance websites like that. My recommended approach would be to pre write a general guideline for your article and then provide the writer with that. It leaves less room for errors

I often find writers for content copywriting on LinkedIn, but earlier I worked with the Upwork experts who would write me an article from time to time, though I had to forget about it. Most of them appeared to be Indian writers with no English at all.
