I gave up on using other's artwork - ever.
If you're concerned, pay a local artist to draw something up. It'll be cheaper than you expect and then there's no worries about licensing - you own the image.
I think I paid about $200 last time for a half dozen custom cliparts -and I got the color/design that I wanted.
I also had a button done recently, paid probably $25 or so and again, got the color, design and size that I specifically asked for. At that price, I couldn't be bothered even finding a 'free' button that meets my specs.
