ARe press release submission softwares reliable and side effects? Any trusted ones you would recommend?

If you need to blast press releases using a software, you are most probably missing the whole PR thingy..

The off the shelf press release submission softwares are loaded with mostly low quality sites which may not bring you either distribution or link equity.
A better way to do it IMHO is to submit to just top 5 to 6 quality sites. These have distribution tie-ups with major news outlets like Yahoo News, AP, etc as well as leading journalists and bloggers.
It costs $$ but it's all about risks versus returns; if a story goes viral, you can gain significantly greater distribution. Additionally, the backlink is stronger.
