Someone once said to me - write about what a visitor is coming to find.
Don't brag about what you are good at, they will be the judge of that.
etc ...
Do you have any rules for creating webpage content?

Write for users, not search engines.

1. Talk to your readers in the language they understand best. 2. Be concise whenever possible. 3. Write for users but keep search engines in mind too - strike a balance between satisfying your readers and search engines. 4. Always check and re-check your website content for typos, grammatical errors, etc. 5. Break up your content into logical sections. 6. Use apt headlines, sub heads and formatting.

Don't talk about how wonderful you are ..
Talk about what you can do for me the visitor!
It seems like good advice for me, but perhaps not so easy to do.

I definitely agree. :)
you need to know your audience (readers). Think of something that you will do for them and what they can get from you.
