giving out fonts with my application

can i redistribute fonts downloaded from free font sites

hi,

there are more than many websites which offer free fonts.

if i make a script which uses those font, then can I redistribute those fonts with my script files for the user?

can i put a link back to the website from where i downloaded the fonts to make things even or something else need to be done.

You'll have to read their license agreement(s) as although each may be free they may be using different licenses.

thank you for your reply. Do you know any website which offers free redistributable fonts? i just want to include a few samples of fonts with my script to demonstrate its working with true type fonts.
