There really isn't much online
There are many, many sources online, general, industry-specific, celebrity etc etc. We source hundreds of high and low res images monthly form various image databases. Can't remember when we last used an off-line source.
I guess one of the important distinctions for the charging basis is whether to issue the image on a royalty-free basis or rights-managed.
It really depends on the nature of the publication (marketing, editorial, business), whether it's for internal or external use and whatever other factors might pop up. There really isn't much online, but a library or well-stocked bookstore should have a couple of pubs with ballpark rates for different types of use.
They will be using it in a publication meant for commercial use / sale. I also wanted to know if we need to mention some other clauses such as
- We will continue to hold the image copyright and use it wherever we want to.
- The image can only be used by them in the publication mentioned and no where else / non exclusive use etc?
That should be a start...
