Hello copyright gurus.

We are wondering if someone could take a look at our site and give an opinion does it violate any intellectual property rights.

Since it is sensitive I do not want to paste link here and give Roger extra work

Thank you

If you have to ask the question then it probably does.

Did you create the content yourself? If so then you'll be fine.

Did you take the content from another source. If so then you may be in trouble.

I would change only one thing

If you have to ask the question then you should probably talk to a lawyer

Sounds like a guilty post.

At present I have someone who has copied my entire content as well as another company who has changed only one letter in my business name and kept my logo design! This is causing me much distress as my hard work has been stolen.

To be honest it is going to be hard to prosecute these guilty parties (i´m sure nothing will happen to you, but you never know)... My suggestion is respect other peoples work and avoid any conflict as some people are always used as examples, maybe it could be you who goes to court.

Asking non-lawyers for a legal opinion is not a very good idea. Expend the funds, find an IP lawyer in your locale, run it up the flagpole and see what the lawyer says.

Intellectual Properties can be both outrageously simple or outrageously complex. Most of the time your gut will give you the correct answer, but when in doubt GET A LAWYER!

Intellectual Property Right lawyers charge 450 pounds an hour in the UK. So... be very sure what you are doing is worth the cost.

Back to the original poster, and I have to say that I'm always happy to give my opinion...
